Is VitalNadi free to use?
Yes. The core app — all health tracking, medical records, family profiles, and insurance management — is completely free. No account required, no subscription, no credit card. We may introduce premium features in the future, but the core experience will always remain free for Indian families.
Where is my family's health data stored?
All health data lives locally on your Android device by default. We never upload your BP readings, prescriptions, lab reports, or insurance documents to our servers. If you want a backup, the app can export an encrypted backup file that you save to your own Google Drive, phone storage, or any cloud you choose. You hold the encryption key.
Does VitalNadi sell my health data?
No. We never sell, share, or monetize your health information. This is a core principle of the product — not a future policy that can change. Anonymous usage statistics (which features you tap) are collected only if you opt in, and even those cannot be traced back to you or your family.
Can I track health for multiple family members?
Yes. VitalNadi supports unlimited family profiles — yourself, spouse, parents, children, even grandparents. Each member has a separate health record, vitals history, medical documents, and insurance policies. Switch between profiles with a single tap. Caregivers can manage records on behalf of elderly parents or young children.
Will I get reminders for insurance renewals?
Yes. Once you add a policy with its expiry date, VitalNadi sends reminders 30 days, 15 days, and 7 days before expiry. You will also get a same-day reminder. This works for health insurance, term life, motor, home, and any other policy type you add.
Is the app available on iOS?
Not yet. VitalNadi is currently Android-only and built specifically for the Indian family context. An iOS version is on our roadmap, but we want to perfect the Android experience first — most of our target users are on Android. Follow our blog or What's New page for release announcements.
Can I export my data if I want to switch phones?
Yes. The encrypted backup file can be imported into a new device. Open VitalNadi on the new phone, tap "Restore from backup," select the file, enter your encryption key, and all your family profiles, vitals history, documents, and insurance data will be restored exactly as you left them.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Because all data is stored locally, every feature works without an internet connection — logging vitals, viewing history, browsing documents, checking insurance renewals. The only features that need internet are the in-app blog reader and downloading app updates from Play Store.
