Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: September 12, 2026

VitalNadi publishes health-related content for informational and educational purposes only. This disclaimer explains the limits of that content and clarifies that nothing on this website or in the app constitutes medical advice.

1. No Medical Advice

The information provided on the VitalNadi website (vitalnadi.com) — including blog articles, FAQs, feature descriptions, and any in-app educational content — is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website or in the VitalNadi app.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or dial your local emergency number (e.g., 112 in India, 911 in the US) immediately. VitalNadi does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, products, procedures, opinions, or other information that may be mentioned on the site.

2. Not a Medical Device

VitalNadi is a health records management and tracking application, not a medical device. It is not regulated by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in India, the FDA in the United States, or any other medical device regulator. The app helps you log and organize health readings you have already taken using medically-approved devices (BP monitors, glucometers, pulse oximeters, thermometers) — but it does not measure, diagnose, or treat any health condition itself.

Any trend indicators, category labels (e.g., "elevated", "normal"), or summary statistics shown in the app are based on widely-published clinical guidelines (such as WHO or AHA guidelines) for educational purposes only. They are not a diagnosis. Only a qualified physician can interpret your readings in the context of your full medical history.

3. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure that health information published on our blog is accurate at the time of publication. Our articles are written or reviewed with reference to authoritative sources (peer-reviewed studies, government health agencies, established clinical guidelines). However:

  • Medical knowledge evolves — what is considered accurate today may be updated as new research emerges.
  • Articles may contain simplifications intended for a general audience — your specific situation may differ.
  • We do not guarantee that every article reflects the most recent clinical guidance.

Always confirm critical health information with your doctor before acting on it. See our Fact-Checking Policy for details on how we verify health claims.

4. Emergency Situations

Do not use this website or app during a medical emergency. If you or a family member is experiencing symptoms of a serious condition — chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or any other emergency — call your local emergency number immediately.

VitalNadi is a records and tracking tool, not an emergency response system. The app does not connect you to emergency services, does not alert your family automatically, and should never be relied upon as the primary response in an emergency.

5. Use of Vital Signs Data

When you log vital signs (blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate, SpO₂, temperature) in the VitalNadi app, that data is stored locally on your device. The app may display category labels (such as "Stage 1 Hypertension" for systolic BP between 130-139 mmHg) based on standard clinical guidelines. These labels are for your awareness only and do not constitute a diagnosis.

Trends shown in the app (such as "your average BP has increased over the last 3 months") are computed from your own logged data and may be incomplete if you have not been logging consistently. Always share your VitalNadi data with your doctor during visits — they can interpret it in the context of your full medical history.

6. Drug and Treatment Information

If our blog articles mention medications, dosages, or treatment protocols, these references are for informational purposes only and reflect what is publicly documented in standard pharmacological references. They are not prescribing advice. Never start, stop, or change a medication dosage based on something you read here without consulting your prescribing physician.

Drug names, dosages, side effects, and interactions can vary by country, manufacturer, and individual patient factors. Always verify medication information with a pharmacist or physician.

7. Insurance Information

Articles about health insurance, claim filing, policy comparison, and renewals are based on general practices in the Indian insurance market. They are not financial or insurance advice. Policy terms, claim procedures, and regulatory requirements vary by insurer and may change over time. Always read your specific policy document and consult your insurance provider or a licensed insurance advisor before making decisions about coverage.

VitalNadi is not an insurance broker, IRDAI-registered advisor, or intermediary. We do not sell insurance, earn commissions on insurance sales, or provide personalized insurance recommendations.

8. Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content

If we ever publish affiliate links or sponsored content (currently, we do not, but this section applies if we add them in the future), they will be clearly disclosed per our Affiliate Disclosure. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content — see our Editorial Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VitalNadi and its team are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of or reliance on information provided on this website or in the app. This includes, but is not limited to, health outcomes, missed diagnoses, treatment delays, insurance claim denials, or financial losses. You use the website and app at your own risk.

10. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Medical Disclaimer as our content evolves or as regulatory expectations change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this Medical Disclaimer or believe any content on the site is medically inaccurate, please contact us with the subject "Medical Content Review". We take such reports seriously and will review the content promptly.
